Since then, they have performed in France and the UK. Their videos, including Leave Us Alone, have been played all over MTV Russia.
BOSTA Feature Film- Lebanon, 2005 - 1 x 115min, 35mm, 16mm, HDCAM Director : Philippe Aractingi Number 1 in the Lebanese Box Office for 2005/2006 "BOSTA" (the Autobus) is a film that is set in Lebanon with some of the most popular cast in the Arab world. It is the first post-war Lebanese musical with contemporary Middle Eastern beat, and more precisely the Dabke. The music was a joint effort between local composer Ali El Khatib and british Afro Celt Sound System. Bosta has been in 44 festivals and has been awarded 5 prizes until now.
Looking for Charlemagne (work in progress: 1 x 55 min Documentary), DVCAM Director: Alex Franck Charlemagne was born a prince, one of the sons of the former self-proclaimed emperor of the Republic of Central Africa, Jean Bedel Bokassa. Filmmaker Alex Franck met Charlemagne when he was around 10 years of age in a boarding school in Switzerland. Many years later Alex reads in the Sunday papers an article on the sad life of Charlemagne, who has become homeless and was living on the streets of Paris. Alex never had the chance to see him again, because Charlemagne died a few months after. This clip is just a teaser!
Nigeria : Living with Shell Friends Of the Earth Director: Janos Jersh 5 min parliamentary piece on the effects of Shell in the Niger Delta on the health of the people living across the country. Oil spills and gas flaring are just examples of health hazards that people have to suffer from 24/7. It was shown in the UK Parliament in a bid to pressure Shell to stop its illegal intrusions. They are one of the very last tribes of hunter-gatherers on Earth, their lifestyle on the brink of extinction. Filmmaker Stefano Cassini and his crew are perfectly poised to reveal this incredible journey; African born and bred, they have lived with them and know them well, they speak their language and understand their customs.
Jackoss Short 1 x 14min, Paris 2004 Director: Alex Franck Jackoss was playing music in one of the transit galleries in the Bastille tube station in Paris. He had great positive energy, playing his heart out in a difficult place and had charisma and style.Originally filmed with the intension of including his music for the film "Looking for Charlemagne". This piece is a "thank you" to Jackoss.

MAKTOUB ( My first short Film) Short Film 1x10min, Lebanon, UK 1999 16mm, Beta SP written, produced and directed by: Dana K. Trometer Maktoub was my dream short that I wanted to direct since my BA but never had the chance. So in Canterbury during my MA I carried the script with me to the UK and stayed stubborn until it saw the light. It is the story of this child who lives the best years of her childhood during the civil war but defies it with a smile and a great positive vibe along with her friends up in the mountains. The film follows her to her adulthood, where she ends up in Britain and how she has to come to terms with the ghosts that haunted her adulthood. It is a closure on the negative and openness to everything new in a bright future.
